Still in the English Month, we took the opportunity to held a singing song competition.
One despicable fact about the contestants who wrote their name in the list voluntarily is their noncommittal attitude towards the promise made to ensure the success of the programme. Some of them, right before the competition was held, resorted to withdraw from the competition altogether. Such a shameful and selfish attitude have to stop or they'll never learn breaking a promise is frowned upon, even worse than singing out of tune or booed by the audience.
They need to learn having the bravery to stand up and sing is better than running away from golden opportunity that only presents itself in the form of an outlet to show what they have to others.
We still have a long way to go. Whatever it is, us, English teachers of SMK Kandis would continue to organize such events even when the contestants themselves tried to sabotage the competition.
