Majlis Jamuan Akhir Tahun dan Salam Perpisahan Pembantu Pusat Sumber Iqra'_091014

Sad to type, even sadder to experience.

After 7 years, Pn Siti Noorhana has been transferred to SMK Kedai Buloh, Kota Bharu.

I still remembered how Kak Noor (as she is fondly called by many) gave her 200% perfecting S-Lib System last year which helped our school to win second place in Anugerah Pusat Sumber Sekolah Cemerlang at the national level.

Although distance may break us apart but the memories collected along the way will remain in our hearts. Good luck and Au Revoir to Kak Noor. Don't forget us here at SMK Kandis ever!!

Road Safety

Iqra'

Pusat Sumber Iqra' is the name of our Resource Centre. Iqra' literally means read. And I love being here, surrounded by books. Back home, I have tonnes of books that I don't have the space to accommodate all of them. Maybe I should create a mini library at home...hmmmm

Anecdotes

The reality dawning upon us today looks daunting but with perseverance and dedication, one can overcomes insurmountable challenges and walk with head held high after giving 100% effort and fight till the end.

TIPS

Teachers

Wouldn't it be good if these are for real here?

MIND OVER MATTER

People who don't matter, don't mind them. People who mind, matter to you.

CAUTION

Better be safe than sorry.

Perspective

It saddens me to see how nonchalant some kids think of school. They are given free textbooks and they do not have to pay the school fees anymore. I remembered back in my days, year end holiday wa spent looking for list of textbooks that was given before school ended for that particular year. And my parents spent hundreds of ringgit to make sure the list of books was completed for me to study for the next year school session. I also took great care of those books by wrapping them with protective plastic casing. Nowadays, kids used pen to scribble in the books that are not theirs to begin with, sometimes with obscene drawings and words. It shows their atrocious attitude towards knowledge. They don't value books as much as I do. I hope these pictures of children risking their life going to school can open their eyes to the difficulties others endure just to be able to learn; something that has been taken for granted by most Malaysian students.
